Manage Your Alerts

Alerts allow you to automatically receive by email new programs matching your criteria. Set up your monitoring in a few clicks.
What is an alert?
An alert is a saved search that automatically monitors new programs. When a program matches your criteria, you receive an email notification.
View your alerts
Go to "My Alerts" in the member menu.
Overview
At the top of the page, 3 indicators summarize your alerts:
- Total number of alerts
- Number of active alerts
- Number of inactive alerts
List filters
Filter your alerts by:
- Status: active only or inactive only
- Frequency: daily, weekly or monthly
Information for each alert
- Alert name
- Status badge (green = active, gray = inactive)
- Frequency badge
- Configured keywords
- Summary of applied filters (number of regions, countries, sectors, donors, agencies, budget)
- Creation date
- Number of notifications sent
- Date of last notification
Create an alert
Click "Create an alert" at the top of the page.
Basic information
- Alert name (required): give a descriptive name, for example "Agricultural programs Senegal"
- Keywords (optional): type keywords separated by commas. The system will search for these words in program names, descriptions and objectives
- Notification frequency: daily, weekly (default) or monthly
- Activate the alert: check to have the alert start monitoring immediately
Geographic filters
Select one or more options in each list:
- Regions: check the African regions that interest you
- Countries: check specific countries
Thematic filters
- Sectors: check activity sectors
- Donors: check funding organizations
- Implementing agencies: check implementing agencies
Budget filter
Choose a budget range (optional):
- All budgets (default)
- Small budget
- Medium budget
- Large budget
Combination logic
All selected criteria work together (AND logic). A program must match all your criteria to trigger an alert.
Create an alert from a search
When you use filters on the program search page, a suggestion banner appears.
- Perform a search using your filters
- A banner displays: "Save this search as an alert"
- Click "Create an alert"
- Your filters are pre-filled in the form
- Give it a name, choose the frequency and validate
Edit an alert
- In your alerts list, click "Edit" (pencil icon)
- Change the name, keywords, filters or frequency
- Click "Update"
Activate or deactivate an alert
Click the "Pause" or "Activate" button to the right of each alert. The status changes instantly:
- Pause: notifications stop, the alert is kept
- Activate: notifications resume
Tip: deactivate your alerts during vacation instead of deleting them.
Delete an alert
- Click "Delete" (trash icon)
- Confirm the deletion
- The alert and its history are permanently erased
Warning: deletion is irreversible. When in doubt, deactivate the alert instead.
Unsubscribe by email
Each notification email contains an unsubscribe link at the bottom of the message. Click on it to deactivate the alert directly from your inbox.
Tips
Targeted alerts — Create several specific alerts rather than one broad one. For example: "Agriculture Senegal", "Digital West Africa", "SME all countries".
Clear naming — Give explicit names to recognize them easily.
Adjust after creation — Observe notifications for 1-2 weeks and adjust criteria if too many or too few programs match.
