Description

The Agricultural SME Development for Employment (AMD4J) project is a structured program to stimulate sustainable job creation in Ethiopia through systemic support for entrepreneurship in agricultural micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, primarily those led by youth and women. It adopts a dual-track approach: improving access to appropriate finance and non-financial services; and strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem to increase the viability and competitiveness of agricultural SMEs.

Objectives

🎯 Sustainable Job Creation:
Generate at least 8,000 direct jobs, with a focus on green/adaptive jobs.

📊 Improved Access to Finance:
Facilitate access to financial resources for agri-MSMEs.

📚 Entrepreneurial Empowerment:
Develop the organizational skills and capacities of young and women entrepreneurs.

🤝 Strengthening the SME Ecosystem:
Consolidate the institutional environment and support services for agricultural SMEs.
