Description

The capacity-building program for Entrepreneurship Support Structures (ESS) and the BIESO (Burundi Innovation and Entrepreneurship Support Organisation) network of incubators aims to professionalize ESS and BIESO to provide sustainable support to entrepreneurs and MSMEs in Burundi. This multi-sectoral program, focused on entrepreneurship within the Umwuga ni Akazi (UA) project, covers sectors such as agri-food, the green economy, women's entrepreneurship, and the circular economy. Its intervention strategy is based on a 360° assessment of ESS, the training of 50 business coaches, the structuring of BIESO through governance and certification, and inter-ESS synergies to offer differentiated support at various stages (ideation, incubation, acceleration).
