Description

KOPEKOBA is the investment component of the Sustainable Land Use Program (PUDT). It aims to translate national land-use planning guidelines into pilot investments and field actions: identifying pilot areas, developing and implementing territorial management plans, structuring resilient agricultural value chains (in savanna and forest areas), and financing innovative investments in sustainable agriculture. The intervention strategy combines territorial planning (to reconcile conservation and development), institutional strengthening, and financing productive and sustainable actions at the territorial level.

Objectives

• Inclusive Territorial Planning Develop and implement territorial management plans at the pilot territory level to reconcile conservation and development. • Sustainable Agriculture and Resilience Structuring resilient agricultural value chains (savannah/forest areas) and financing sustainable productive investments. • Land Tenure Security and Governance Strengthening land rights security processes and local governance to reduce land-use conflicts. • Institutional Strengthening and Learning Establishing monitoring and evaluation systems, building the capacity of government agencies, and sharing experiences to scale up.
