Ghana Digital Acceleration Project (GDAP)

The Ghana Digital Acceleration Project (GDAP) aims to stimulate the country's digital transformation. To achieve this, it focuses on three main areas: expanding access to broadband, improving digital public services, and strengthening the digital innovation ecosystem. The project's strategy addresses the challenges identified in the 2020 Digital Economy Diagnostic. This is accomplished through targeted investments and the adoption of appropriate regulations, with the goal of ensuring widespread and secure digital inclusion.

🌐 Expand Broadband Access:
Encourage private investment to extend mobile internet and broadband access to an additional six million Ghanaians, with a particular focus on rural populations.

📱 Improve Digital Public Services:
Modernize platforms like Ghana.gov for increased efficiency and a better user experience in priority sectors.

🚀 Strengthen the Innovation Ecosystem:
Increase the survival rate of digital startups by strengthening coordination, ensuring early funding, and developing high-level skills.

️ Ensure Inclusive and Secure Digital Transformation:
Update regulations to ensure the inclusion of women, persons with disabilities (PwD), and rural populations, while strengthening cybersecurity and data governance.
